적외선(IR) 스펙트럼에서 O-H 신축 진동

(O-H stretching vibrations of alcohols)

 

 

 

O-H 신축 진동 피크는 3300 cm-1 부근에서 broad하면서 strong한 밴드로 관찰되는데, 피크 모양이 broad한 것은 알코올 분자 사이의 수소결합 때문입니다.

이 영역에서 이런 모양의 흡수 피크는 O-H 신축 진동 피크밖에 없으므로, 알코올 화합물 역시 IR 스펙트럼만으로 쉽게 확인할 수 있습니다.

 

The alcohol O-H absorbs around 3300 cm-1 and it usually is a broad, strong band. The broad shape is due to the diverse nature of the hydrogen bonding interactions of alcohol molecules.
